I never set out to become a natural bodybuilding champion. In fact, if you’d seen me as a fat Asian kid growing up in Japan, shy and reserved, you probably wouldn’t have expected it either. I didn’t have the discipline. I didn’t feel particularly talented. But somewhere along the way, something shifted — and that shift changed my life.

Fitness was the gateway, but it wasn’t the whole story. As I trained and transformed my body, I realized the real battle was happening within. That’s when I began developing what I now call Spiritual Bodybuilding — a holistic approach to self-mastery that goes beyond diets and deadlifts. It’s about committing to a vision for your life and showing up with purpose, one day at a time.

This mindset helped me go from someone with no real direction to someone who achieved a physique I once thought was impossible. But as time passed and I moved into middle age, I found myself losing that competition-ready body. Like many others in this stage of life, I could’ve told myself I was “too old” or that “it is what it is.”

But I’m not ready to give up — on my body, my message, or myself.

So now, I’m on a new journey: to rebuild, redefine, and reawaken the strongest, most aligned version of me yet. I’m putting Spiritual Bodybuilding to the test — and this time, I’m documenting it all.

At the heart of everything I do is a deep passion for personal development and spirituality. For years, I devoured books, courses, and teachings, always hungry for more. But I came to see that knowledge without action is just another form of hiding. So I made a commitment: to stop consuming and start living it — walking the talk every day, no matter how imperfectly.

Another piece of my story is music. As a teenager in Japan, I often struggled to express what I felt inside. But when I saw a street performer singing with nothing but his voice and a guitar, I felt something click. That was it. Music became my medium — a way to share my truth when words fell short. And even now, it’s one of the purest ways I connect with others.

So whether it’s through fitness, music, or inner work, everything I do is about one thing: helping people break through their own limitations and create a life that feels real, powerful, and aligned with who they truly are.

This is my journey. I’m still on it.
And if you’re walking a similar path — you’re not alone.
